About Olivia and Bill

As a Cultural Care local childcare consultant (LCC), I invite our host families and au pairs as well as those considering Cultural Care Au Pair to explore my site and learn about what is going on in our community. I provide year-round support to host families and au pairs, and also talk to families considering the program to help them determine if Cultural Care Au Pair is the right childcare solution for them.

A little about Olivia:
I have been a servicing the D.C. Metro area since 2013. In 2015 I have expanded into the following major metro areas: Chicago, Long Island, New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. I also service parts of Florida, Maryland and Northern, Central, and Southern Virginia. In 2016 I hope to expand into other areas of the country to include North Carolina. Being a native resident of Northern VA, and can provide AuPairs with a wealth of information on local activities, and events for both children and adults.

Education Background: I have my Ph.D. in Sociology and Education, and focus on international development in East Africa, parts of West Africa, and South East Asia. At Harvard University, I worked with inequalities in education and developed STEM models for success both nationally and internationally – specializing in Brazil and South Africa.

A little about Bill:
I have been a Local Childcare Coordinator in the Northern, VA area since 2014. I am originally from North Carolina, I moved to Pittsburgh PA to attend Carnegie Mellon for my PhD in Civil Engineering focusing on Computer Science. I moved to the Northern VA area in 1999 and worked remotely for Carnegie Mellon. In 2006 I was the CTO for the Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative through IDA. In 2008 I worked for MTS Technologies as the director and focused on training with the FAA. .

We invite active families and au pairs as well as those considering Cultural Care Au Pair to explore our site and learn about what is going on in our community. We work to not only support host families and au pairs during their program year, but also talk to families considering the program to help them determine if Cultural Care Au Pair could be the right fit for them.
